Who I Am
If I should describe myself to someone else, I'd not use words, I'd show one of my photo albums. Photography was, for my entire life, like a silent companion, following me in any moment, drawing and putting all of my life on paper.
But I was not captured by photography in my early age, but only when I grew up, when I realized how important photos were for me, for my family, for everyone.
That's why I choose photography as my path of life, for its important meaning for everybody. I graduate in Graphic and Photography for fashion, and then with a PhD in cinema editing. I discovered Wedding and Portrait photography at the end of all my studies, just like all the good stuff happen in life: casually. It was love at first sight.
What I do
I am a Tuscan based photographer: I opened my activity in 2013 in Bagno a Ripoli, just close to Florence, in a location that totally talks about me: all white and ivory (with a touch of my beloved blue), everything in wood & glass, with a powerful, bright light. Full of handmade object, experiments, nerd accessories, collectable toys.
In my messy dungeon I work every day, studyng hard to search the best way to do what I love most: create strong, powerful, emotional pictures.
In 2015 I became ANFM member, themost important wedding photography association in Italy.
In 2015 I also made Gioia, my wood wedding album, totally designed by me and made here in Florence, by talented artisans.
Portrait photography is a continuos and neverending trial: represent a person, his life, his feelings, his emotions, his thoughts in a one, simple, clean image on a piece of paper is very difficult.
The job isn’t just take the picture: you have to work hard before, during and after taking it, you have to know the person that is in front of you, that ask to be photographed.
You have to enter inside his mind, understand him and pull out everything, just to put it back in into the picture.
So why choose portrait, engagement, wedding photography as my path of life and work?
Because I love this. Love to connect with people, be part of their life for a little bit, feel their emotions, their
sensations, their thoughts on my skin, and put everything in the images.
